March 23 Attacks on Ukraine: Casualties Reported in Kryvyi Rih and Druzhkivka.
Russian Strikes on Ukrainian Cities and Villages on March 23, 2023
According to UATV: On March 23, 2023, Russian forces launched attacks on multiple locations across Ukraine, including Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, and Druzhkivka, resulting in injuries and infrastructure damage. In Kryvyi Rih, two people were wounded, and damage to local infrastructure was recorded.
The assault on Odesa caused no casualties but damaged residential buildings and port facilities. In Druzhkivka, two injuries were reported after eight aerial bombs struck the city. The attack sparked a fire in an administrative building and an industrial zone.
Damage Assessment and Aftermath of the Strikes
Teams are currently operating in the Kirovohrad region to evaluate the extent of the destruction. Oleksandr Hanza reported on the shelling, while the State Emergency Service of Ukraine provided details on the impacts across these communities. It is worth noting that on March 22, Russian troops targeted settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 30 times, killing two people.
These attacks are part of the ongoing escalation in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, now in its second year. Strikes on civilian sites and infrastructure highlight the continued hostilities and their severe toll on non-combatants. Assessing the damage and delivering aid to victims are critical steps in addressing the crisis, as the repercussions of such assaults can have long-term effects on regional recovery.
