The charitable organization 'Charitable Foundation 'Okhmatdyt - Healthy Childhood' does not plan to transfer the funds collected for the reconstruction of the institution to the account of NDSL 'Okhmatdyt'. As of August 16, 2024, 378 million UAH remain in the account of the charitable foundation. This was stated by the CEO of 'Okhmatdyt', Volodymyr Zhovnir.

'We found out that the CO 'Charitable Foundation 'Okhmatdyt - Healthy Childhood' does not plan to transfer the funds to the account of NDSL 'Okhmatdyt'... We are deeply shocked by the decision of the fund. In my opinion, neither the NDSL nor the fund bearing the name 'Okhmatdyt' have the right to deceive the Ukrainian society. However, the participants of the fund (among whom there are no NDSL employees!) decided otherwise.

I once again, now publicly, demand that the fund transfer the funds received to all banking and financial accounts of the Charitable Organization 'Charitable Foundation 'Okhmatdyt - Healthy Childhood' in the form of charitable assistance for the restoration of the destroyed buildings and material-technical base of NDSL 'Okhmatdyt' of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine after the missile attack of 08.07.2024 to the Treasury account of NDSL 'Okhmatdyt'', Zhovnir wrote.

The CEO of the institution also noted that the hospital is considering the possibility of terminating legal relations with the fund because their actions are unfair and 'probably fraudulent'. 'We will act within the legal framework regarding the funds that were collected specifically for the hospital. The staff of NDSL 'Okhmatdyt' will do everything possible to restore the buildings of Okhmatdyt before rains and frosts come to Ukraine', Zhovnir added.

As journalist Lyubov Velychko noted, the funds that Ukrainians donated for the reconstruction of the NDSL 'Okhmatdyt' hospital are planned to be transferred not to the hospital's account but... to the charitable foundation of the president's wife - Olena Zelenska.

'Yes, you heard it right. The CO 'Foundation of Olena Zelenska', according to the commission, specializes 'precisely in the protection of children in Ukraine'... According to commission member Yevhen Solodko, a member of the charitable foundation 'Okhmatdyt - Healthy Childhood', 'the transfer of funds by the Foundation to the state accounts creates certain corruption risks'.

Thus, at yesterday's meeting, representatives of the scandalous charitable foundation decided: 1) not to transfer the money to the hospital, 2) to transfer the money to the charitable foundation of the president's wife, 3) the president's wife will personally control these funds', the journalist reported.

Reconstruction of the NDSL 'Okhmatdyt' hospital after the missile strike

As reported, a special Oversight Council will now monitor the process of restoring the children's hospital 'Okhmatdyt' in Kyiv, which was destroyed by Russian missiles. This was announced by the Minister of Health, Viktor Lyashko, on Facebook.

Previously, Lyashko reported that the tender for the reconstruction of the children's hospital 'Okhmatdyt', which was attacked by missiles from the occupiers, would be canceled. Instead, it will be held again.

It was reported that the 'Charitable Foundation 'Okhmatdyt'' has determined the winner of the tender for the repair of the hospital building, which was damaged by the missile strike on July 8. It was LLC 'Bud-Technologies'. The publication 'Nashi Groshi' published an investigative report on the inflated prices of this contractor.

On July 8, the Russian Federation launched a massive missile strike on the city of Kyiv. One of the missiles hit the city children's hospital 'Okhmatdyt'. One of the hospital buildings was completely destroyed, and several buildings were damaged. It was also reported that two people died on the day of the strike. Later, it became known that a child who was in 'Okhmatdyt' after surgery died in intensive care.
