Prisoner Exchange on September 13. Ombudsman showed touching photos of released Ukrainians.
Today, September 13, 49 civilians and servicemen returned from Russian captivity to Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, published touching photos of the released Ukrainian men and women.
«This day is like a second birthday for our citizens returned home today!», – noted Lubinets.
Among the released are soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Border Service, as well as civilians.
Today, for the first time in more than a year, fighters from «Azov» also returned from Russian captivity. However, more than 900 «Azov» members are currently in captivity of the Russian Federation.
Let us recall, during the latest prisoner exchange, 49 Ukrainian men and women were returned. Among the released are soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Border Service, as well as civilians.
In particular, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, 3,569 Ukrainians have returned from Russian captivity.
