Deadly Day in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

According to UATV: On June 12, 2023, Russian strikes on the Dnipropetrovsk region claimed the life of one man and left three others injured. The attacks, which occurred in the context of the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, have drawn renewed attention to the dangers faced by civilians in frontline areas. According to reports, the casualties include:

  • A 60-year-old man who was killed;
  • A 53-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy, both wounded.

Alexander Ganzha stated that the injured will receive outpatient treatment.

In addition, a 63-year-old man was wounded in the assault and hospitalized in serious condition. Alexander Ganzha confirmed this, noting:

“A 60-year-old man was killed. Another man, aged 63, was injured and is hospitalized in serious condition.” - Alexander Ganzha

Intensity of the Attacks

Over the course of the day, more than 50 shelling incidents were recorded across two districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region, specifically in the Nikopol area, as well as the Zelenodolsk and Hrushevka communities. On the night of June 12, 117 Shahed-type attack drones were launched, highlighting the scale and intensity of the offensive.

These events unfold against the backdrop of an escalating conflict between Ukraine and Russia, now in its second year. The continued targeting of civilian infrastructure and populated areas underscores the urgent need for international support and human rights protections in the region.
