Shelling of Mykolaiv - what is the situation in the frontline city.
Journalist Halina Ostapovets reported that Mykolaiv has begun to actively develop and has reached pre-war levels in terms of population. Also, the streets of the city have noticeably increased the use of the Ukrainian language.
Mykolaiv is alive
In particular, the city is receiving support from the European Union, Denmark, and Germany. They are helping to restore infrastructure and property damaged during shelling by the Russian Federation. The residents of Mykolaiv are not leaving their homeland, and those who left the city during the invasion are gradually returning.
Due to the decrease in the number of shellings, many people have decided to return home. It is worth noting that the number of Ukrainian language speakers on the streets of Mykolaiv has increased compared to the previous period. One of the unresolved issues remains the future of the Regional State Administration building, which was damaged as a result of a missile strike.
The situation in the city became unsettled after the Russian attack, which damaged the port and sanatoriums. There was also mobilization with violence in Mykolaiv, which caused outrage among local residents.
In particular, thanks to support from the European Union, Denmark, and Germany, the city of Mykolaiv is starting to restore its infrastructure and attract back residents who once left during the war events. The increase in the use of the Ukrainian language on the streets indicates positive changes taking place in the city with the support of international partners.
