For some, an increase of 100 hryvnias, for others – 1000: how pensions of Ukrainians will change after indexing.
Pensions in Ukraine will be increased after indexing in March
According to OBOZ.UA, most pensioners can expect an increase in the amount of their pension in Ukraine in March. The amount of this increase will vary from a few hundred to a few thousand hryvnias. The exact amount has not yet been approved, but it may be more than 10% as it turned out that the actual inflation for the past year was higher than planned.
The increase in pensions will depend on the current calculated size of the recipient's pension. Those pensioners whose calculated pension is lower than the minimum will receive an additional payment of 100-200 hryvnias. Individuals receiving a pension from 3000 to 4000 hryvnias can expect an increase of 300-400 hryvnias. Those with a pension of 5000 hryvnias will receive an increase of 400-500 hryvnias. And pensioners with a calculated pension over 10,000 hryvnias will receive the most substantial increase, up to 1000 hryvnias.
It should be noted that this increase will not apply to recipients of special pensions who already receive high payments, as their pensions are indexed according to separate laws.
It was also previously reported that there are plans in Ukraine to increase salaries, pensions, and the minimum subsistence level.
