Occupants prepare to attack in the Zaporizhzhia direction: AFU explained what the enemy wants.

In southern Ukraine, Russian occupiers may start assaults in the coming days with the aim of cutting logistical routes from Zaporizhzhia to the eastern front. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Vladyslav Voloshyn, during a telethon broadcast. He noted that the situation in this direction is complicated.

According to Voloshyn, although the number of assaults in southern Ukraine is less compared to other areas, the situation in this region is considered complicated due to constant enemy shelling and missile and air strikes. The occupiers are trying to take control of Orikhiv and Mala Tokmachka, as this will allow them to cut the logistical routes going from Zaporizhzhia to the east of Ukraine, where the positions of the Ukrainian defense forces are located. Speaking about new threats, the spokesperson of the Defense Forces of the South noted that the enemy is activating assault groups near Orikhiv and Robotyne.

According to Voloshyn, the occupiers more often use fast transport vehicles, such as motorcycles and quad bikes, to cover the distance to Ukrainian positions in the trenches. The enemy avoids heavy armored vehicles and weapons that may be blown up on mine-explosive barriers. After the assault, the group entrenches in the trench. This tactic has proven its effectiveness in other areas, so the enemy will continue to apply it in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
