Occupants threaten Poltava residents from the phone of a father missing at the front.
Inna Holoborodko from Poltava is searching for her father, Vitaliy Lebid, who went missing in action over six months ago. All this time she has been receiving messages from his phone, which are being sent by military personnel from Russia. Despite this, the family continues to search for the man. According to Holoborodko, they are receiving threats from the military.
“If you call, we will kill him,” they write in messages from Lebid's father's phone.
Military life of Vitaliy Lebid
Vitaliy Lebid, a locksmith from Poltava, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in February 2023. He was a serviceman in the 44th separate mechanized brigade. His post in the army is an assistant grenade launcher, and he also participated in combat operations in the Donetsk, Lyman, Kharkiv, and Luhansk directions. Outside of combat missions, Lebid enjoyed fishing and mushroom picking.
Disappearance and mysterious messages
On September 9, 2024, Vitaliy Lebid went missing during a combat mission, and since then, contact has been lost. He is officially considered missing in action, but relatives continue trying to contact the serviceman. Inna Holoborodko reported that she is receiving messages from her father's phone, in which threats are made against her and her family.
