Russians on the Pokrovsk direction continue their assaults: how the defense forces are destroying their attacks.
According to ТСН: On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian occupiers continue to attack using small infantry assault groups that are quickly identified and eliminated by the defense forces. This indicates that the enemy has substantial reserves of manpower.
This was reported by Major Volodymyr Nazarenko, Deputy Commander of the 4th Battalion 'Freedom Force' of the 4th Brigade 'Rubizh'.
According to him, the occupiers' attacks are carried out by small groups of 2-4 soldiers, who have different levels of training — from experienced fighters to units formed from mercenaries or novices. These groups move along thickets, populated areas, and forests, conducting chaotic assaults.
“There may be one combat encounter for one thicket, or several such encounters during the day: one group goes — it gets destroyed, then the second, third. That’s how the enemy operates constantly,” Nazarenko noted.
He also emphasized that the presence of a significant number of reserves in the enemy's far rear allows for the quick formation and transfer of both trained and untrained soldiers for assault actions.
Previously, ISW analysts conducted a risk analysis for Ukraine at the front in the event of losing Pokrovsk. Experts believe that the possible capture of this settlement will not lead to a significant collapse of the front in Ukraine.
The situation on the Pokrovsk direction remains tense, and Ukrainian forces continue to respond adequately to enemy attacks. By maintaining flexibility in tactics, the Ukrainian military seeks to neutralize threats and strengthen defensive positions at these important frontiers.
