According to Korrespondent.net: Stellantis decided to celebrate International Coffee Day, which takes place on October 1, in an original way by presenting a special version of the electric crossover Opel Mokka. According to Carscoops, this decision is due to the name of the model, which sounds similar to the mocha coffee variety, named after the port of Mocha in Yemen — a former key center of coffee trading.

The base is the standard version Mokka Electric, with a power of 154 hp, a 54 kWh battery, and a range of 402 km according to WLTP standards. While the company could have used the sportier Mokka GSE variant with 278 hp, the concept leaned towards comfort and relaxation.

Mobile Coffee Shop in the Trunk

Externally, Mokka Coffee looks almost the same as the regular version, except for a small coffee logo on the back of the car. However, once you open the trunk, you'll see a real mobile coffee shop. In specially designed pull-out drawers and cupboards, there are two coffee machines (for ground coffee and capsules), a coffee grinder, a milk frother, a refrigerator, and even a box for used coffee grounds.

Also, a new 'coffee point' icon appeared on the 10-inch multimedia screen. The only downside is that there isn’t enough space for luggage in such a Mokka.

Opel explains that this project is created for enjoyable and tasty breaks during trips or in everyday tasks. Since this is an electric vehicle, the coffee station is particularly relevant during charging stops. At the same time, the Mokka Coffee version is released only in a single copy and will not be available for sale.

It is worth reminding that it was previously reported that Mercedes AMG introduced a megawatt charger for electric vehicles.

The special version of the Mokka called Coffee demonstrates Stellantis' creative approach to integrating coffee culture into the everyday lives of drivers. This is not only an innovative approach to car design, but also an attempt to make traveling more comfortable and enjoyable. Although this model will not be available for purchase, its concept could set the tone for future developments in the electric vehicle industry.
