Apartment tenants can become owners: what is being prepared for Ukrainians.
The press service 'Ukrfinzhytlo' reports that a new program is being introduced in Ukraine that will allow tenants to become owners of the apartments they rent. Under this innovative program, a tenant will have the opportunity to gradually buy out the housing they are renting through periodic payments. Part of these payments will go towards paying rent, and the other part will go towards purchasing the property. Thus, after meeting all conditions, the property will fully transfer to the tenant's ownership. This program will be a good option for families who cannot afford the initial down payment for a mortgage but dream of their own home.
The 'Rent-to-Own' program will be available to IDPs under favorable conditions with reduced interest rates. In addition, integration of this model with the mortgage program 'eOselya' will be conducted. However, for the launch of this program in Ukraine, it is necessary to create an appropriate legal framework, ensure guarantees for property owners and developers, as well as obtain financial support from the state and international partners.
