Oschadbank Caps Transfers: New Limits Take Effect in June.
Oschadbank Introduces Stricter Transfer Limits
According to Novyny.live: Starting June 2026, Oschadbank has enforced new caps on money transfers as part of a broader effort to shield customers from fraud. Any transaction exceeding 1,000 UAH will now require SMS-based confirmation, a move designed to curb the rising threat of financial scams that have become a pressing concern for banking clients.
Under the updated policy, transfers up to 1,000 UAH can proceed without OTP verification, offering greater convenience for smaller day-to-day payments. However, amounts above this threshold will trigger an additional authentication step. Furthermore, any transfer over 10,000 UAH is prohibited during nighttime hours, adding another layer of security to financial operations.
Reasons Behind the Changes
These restrictions stem from National Bank of Ukraine Regulation No. 58, issued on May 3, 2023, which provides the legal foundation for such measures. Oschadbank’s updated transfer rules aim to protect clients from potential financial losses tied to fraudulent activity. Strengthening security in banking operations has become increasingly critical in today’s environment.
As of June 2026, Oschadbank’s transfer limits include both transaction amount caps and stricter verification requirements. Customers using the 'Oschad24' service may encounter certain hurdles when sending money, making it essential to stay informed about the new rules and adapt accordingly.
Oschadbank’s introduction of these limits aligns with a global trend toward tighter security in financial transactions. The surge in transfer-related fraud has pushed banks to adopt extra safeguards to protect their customers.
Implementing changes like SMS confirmation can help reduce risks and bolster customer trust in banking services.
