Starting July 2026, Oschadbank Imposes Strict Transfer Caps: What You Need to Know.
Oschadbank's New Rules Take Effect in July 2026
According to Novyny.live: To combat fraud, Oschadbank will introduce tighter restrictions on financial transactions made through its mobile app, Oschad24/7, beginning in July 2026. These changes follow the National Bank of Ukraine's Resolution No. 58, which establishes guidelines for authentication and the use of enhanced authentication in the payment market. This is part of a broader effort to strengthen digital payment security across the country.
Current Limits on Online Transactions
The existing restrictions on online transactions include the following:
- A ban on transfers exceeding 10,000 UAH to other cards during nighttime hours;
- A limit of 1,000 UAH for transfers without SMS confirmation;
- Monthly caps on peer-to-peer and bank-detail transfers, set at up to 100,000 UAH;
- A monthly limit on currency purchases, capped at 50,000 UAH.
Oschad24/7 has updated its procedures for transfers between the bank's own cards, aiming to boost transaction security. New rules have also been introduced for sending money to cards issued by other financial institutions. These measures are designed to lower the risk of financial fraud and ensure greater transparency for bank clients.
The updates at Oschadbank are part of a nationwide strategy to protect consumers and build trust in digital financial services. With fraudsters becoming more active, stronger authentication rules and transfer restrictions can significantly reduce the chances of clients losing money. These initiatives may also serve as a model for other Ukrainian financial institutions looking to enhance the security of their digital offerings.
