When the Pope's illness was acute, he used a non-invasive mechanical device for lung ventilation while sleeping. But now there are no such problems, although Francis still receives additional oxygen through a special tube.

The pontiff's clinical condition is steadily improving. Doctors have control over the infection: blood tests are normal, and no fever is observed.

It should be noted that the Pope will remain in the hospital for a few more days, continuing treatment. He will only be discharged after a full recovery. He is in the 'Agostino Gemelli' clinic.

Initially, the Pope fell ill with bronchitis, which later developed into bilateral pneumonia. At the beginning of February, Francis could not finish his sermon due to breathing problems.
