Pope Francis urged not to stop praying for peace in the world

In the hospital, Pope Francis addressed the faithful with reflections before the Sunday prayer 'Angelus'. He emphasized the importance of Lent and urged not to cease praying for peace in the world.

Let us continue to pray for peace, especially in Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Myanmar, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I am also concerned about the violence that continues in some parts of Syria. I hope that it will ultimately stop with respect for all ethnic and religious communities, especially for the civilian population.

Pope Francis expressed his gratitude to all who pray for him, assuring that he also prays for them.

I sincerely thank everyone and I also pray for you.

The day before, Pope Francis spent a peaceful night in the hospital, where he had been for nearly three weeks due to bilateral pneumonia.

It was previously reported that Pope Francis slept well on the night of March 3, and his condition remained stable. He urged the faithful to pray for peace in the world as they pray for him.

As a reminder, in January, Pope Francis fell ill with bronchitis and was later hospitalized due to bilateral pneumonia. He is 88 years old.

Pope, in a private conversation, expressed his confidence that this Time he will not survive this illness.
