According to UATV: The Ukrainian partisan group 'Atesh' has gathered intelligence on the operations of the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant, a key industrial asset supporting the Russian military. This facility, one of Russia's largest heavy engineering sites, began serial production of the new 3TE30 mainline locomotive in 2026. The locomotive boasts nearly 10,000 horsepower and can haul trains weighing over 7,100 tons. Since railway networks handle up to 80% of supply and heavy equipment transport for the Russian army, this plant plays a critical role in logistics.

Production and Strategic Importance

The plant also manufactures diesel engines and power systems for Russian Navy ships. Following losses in the Black Sea Fleet, Moscow has been pushing to accelerate new ship construction.
