At a ministerial meeting in New York, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that G7 countries and other partners have raised over $4 billion for the restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which Russia is attempting to destroy. He emphasized that over the past two years, the "G7 plus" countries have mobilized over $4 billion, and this process is ongoing.

According to Blinken, Germany, the Netherlands, and other countries have announced new contributions, with the U.S. allocating $500 million in June and another $300 million last month. He stressed that these funds will help Ukraine get through the upcoming winter months.

Blinken noted that Putin is using energy and cold as weapons in attempts to subjugate Ukraine. Therefore, G7 countries and other partners are working together to provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance.

The New York meeting will discuss the current situation and future plans to restore Ukraine's energy infrastructure damaged by Russian strikes.
