The sanctioned institutions include:
- 'Signal'
- State Research Institute of Military Medicine
British authorities stated these measures are aimed at those responsible for creating toxins used in the poisonings of figures like Alexei Navalny and Dawn Sturgess.
This action is part of London's broader campaign to curb chemical weapons use and uphold international security. The UK government emphasized its commitment to holding accountable anyone involved in developing or deploying such dangerous substances.
By imposing these sanctions, Britain signals to the global community that threats to human life from chemical agents will not go unchecked. These steps may also increase pressure on Russia's policies regarding toxic agents and create further obstacles for individuals and entities tied to chemical weapons programs.
