The Patrol Police will allow recording traffic violations: what will change for drivers.
According to inkorr.com: The Patrol Police of Ukraine is considering the possibility of allowing citizens to record traffic violations. This was reported by Oleksiy Biloshytskyi, the First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine, in a column for the publication 'Economic Truth'.
Among the planned innovations is the introduction of a 'point penalty system' for offending drivers and the opportunity for citizens to record traffic violations. This aims to ensure control over compliance with traffic rules.
More fines, more control
Significant changes pointed out by the patrol police include the confiscation of vehicles from drivers under the influence of alcohol for the benefit of the Armed Forces during martial law, as well as fines of up to 51 thousand hryvnias for driving while intoxicated and lowering the 'non-penal threshold' for speeding violations.
'The feeling of inevitability of punishment is the best discipline', - emphasized Biloshytskyi.
According to the police, the installation of automatic traffic violation cameras has already shown positive results and reduced the number of fatal accidents. Age restrictions for drivers have also been introduced in Ukraine, and tests for future drivers have been updated, which helps to increase the level of knowledge regarding traffic rules.
The Patrol Police Department continues to implement new initiatives to enhance road safety and ensure compliance with traffic rules. The introduction of a 'point penalty system', increased fines for drunk drivers, and lowering the speed threshold are just part of the planned changes aimed at improving compliance with traffic rules and reducing the number of road traffic accidents in Ukraine.
