Pension Increased: Will Benefits for Utility Payments Be Preserved.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained how benefits for paying housing and communal services are preserved for retired medical workers in rural areas after the increase in pension amounts. According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, medical and pharmaceutical workers who live in a village after retirement are entitled to a 100% discount on utility services. To receive the benefit, the average monthly income of the pensioner over the previous six months must not exceed 4,240 hryvnias. The benefit is provided for 12 months, but no later than the end of the calendar year.
To receive the benefit for 2025, the Pension Fund of Ukraine considers the pensioner's income for the III and IV quarters of the previous year. Thus, if the pensioner's income for these quarters does not exceed the limit of 4,240 hryvnias, he retains the right to benefits throughout the current year, regardless of the pension amount.
