Judges and deputies receive pensions of up to 390 thousand hryvnias: who else is at the top of payments.
Ukrainian judges, prosecutors, and some members of parliament receive special pensions from the state, which significantly exceed the salaries of ordinary citizens.
Who has the highest pensions in Ukraine
The highest pensions are received by judges, some of whom have pensions of 390 thousand hryvnias, while others receive 320 thousand hryvnias per month. Among prosecutors, special pensions range from 119 to 219 thousand hryvnias. As for former members of parliament, one of them receives 246 thousand hryvnias monthly, while others receive from 22 to 60 thousand hryvnias.
'In contrast, for miners, for example, the maximum pension is 29 thousand hryvnias,' emphasized Danilo Hetmantsev.
What else is worth knowing
In August of this year, Ukrainians celebrating their 70th, 75th, and 80th birthdays will receive increased pension payments if the total amount of their pension does not exceed 10.34 thousand hryvnias. For example, individuals who turn 70 will receive an additional 300 hryvnias, while those who turn 75 will receive 456 hryvnias. 80-year-old pensioners will receive 570 hryvnias each.
There are also supplements to pensions for mothers of many children. More details about this can be found, as well as about the size of the pensions of member of parliament Ivo Bobula.
Pensions of Ukrainian judges, prosecutors, and some members of parliament significantly exceed the pensions of ordinary citizens. This reveals a significant inequality in the social security system in Ukraine, where some categories receive much more than others, such as miners or mothers of many children.Read also
