Military Pensions in Ukraine: What Payments and Allowances are Provided for Fighters.
Ukrainian servicemen have the right to various types of pensions, which are paid according to special law No. 2262-XII. In addition to pensions for individuals discharged from military service, they can also receive pensions on general grounds.

According to Article 12 of Law No. 2262, they are eligible for pensions for age, length of service, and disability. To receive a length of service pension, one must have worked for at least 25 years. Moreover, both civilian service and time spent in military service are counted towards the experience.
Servicemen are also entitled to age pensions and disability pensions. The latter is mainly appointed before reaching retirement age.
Features of Service Impact on Insurance Experience
In establishing additional payments for length of service, the time of military service is taken into account, but the period when the average wage was not maintained for the military is not included. Only the salary, allowances, and extra payments are included in the calculation of the pension, excluding one-time rewards up to 100,000 UAH.
The initiative to increase pensions for military personnel is being discussed in the Verkhovna Rada, and the possibility of a guaranteed pension of 23,000 UAH for those with a service record of at least 25 years is also being considered.
