The Pension Fund has required Ukrainians to confirm their identity: who falls under the new rules.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainians have been clarified on who must confirm their identity to receive state benefits. The information is provided by 'Hvylya' citing the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
- Individuals who lived in areas where it was not possible to receive social assistance before the war.
- Those who have not updated their documents for receiving assistance since February 24, 2022.
Documents for identity confirmation
These requirements are regulated by two resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, adopted in June 2025 (No. 695 and No. 765). They apply to individuals who have no right to a pension, recipients of care assistance, as well as disabled persons from childhood and children with disabilities.
Ways to confirm identity
- In person - visit any office of the Pension Fund with your passport and a document proving your place of residence.
- Online - use the Pension Fund portal with the electronic signature 'Diia.Signature'.
- Via video call - register on a special web portal of the Pension Fund.
- Abroad - contact the Ukrainian consulate to confirm your status.
Important note
If your payments are suspended in September 2025, you need to personally contact the Pension Fund with a statement and documents to restore your assistance.
Earlier, the Pension Fund of Ukraine explained how pensioners abroad can obtain the necessary certificate.
In the new conditions of physical identification for receiving state benefits, Ukrainians should closely monitor changes in procedures and timely submit the required documents. This will help avoid delays in assistance payments from the Pension Fund.
