Peugeot has introduced the restyled 308.
According to Korrespondent.net: The company Peugeot has unveiled updated versions of the 308 hatchback and station wagon, which are now available in several drivetrain options—from mild hybrid to fully electric.
The model has undergone significant design changes that bring it closer to the new 3008 and 5008, particularly at the front. The gasoline engine remains in the lineup, but now it is only paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. The 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine delivers 145 hp and works with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The electric motor assists during starts and in traffic jams: in urban conditions, up to half of the trips can be made on electric power without recharging.

For those looking for more power, the 308 Plug-in Hybrid 195 option is available. It combines a 1.6-liter turbo gasoline engine with 150 hp and an electric motor with 125 hp, providing a total power of 195 hp. The battery capacity of 17.2 kWh allows for up to 85 km of electric driving range according to WLTP. A full charge from a 7.4 kW wallbox takes about two hours. In everyday urban mode, this hybrid can predominantly drive without using gasoline, reserving it for long journeys.
The brand also offers a fully electric E-308 with a power output of 156 hp and a 58.4 kWh battery. The driving range of the model is up to 450 km, enabling it to compete with other C-segment electric vehicles.
Starting from spring 2026, a 1.5-liter BlueHDi diesel engine with 130 hp and an 8-speed automatic transmission will be added to the lineup. This option is intended for those who often travel and appreciate fuel economy over long distances.
Orders for the updated Peugeot 308 will begin in autumn 2025, and production will take place at the factory in Mulhouse (France). Although prices have not yet been announced, the current hybrid version 145 in Germany starts from €34,110, while the diesel version starts from €35,390.
