The Ministry of Defense increases funding for brigades: 7 million for drones and equipment for each battalion.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is starting to procure specialized equipment and drones for combat brigades through direct funding. The price of the equipment will be determined through expertise.

This was reported by the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, Orest Drymalovskyi.

What is known about the simplified procurement procedure

Drymalovskyi stated that combat brigades received more funding, and the procedure for purchasing used pickups, ATVs, and motorcycles has become simpler. The price of the equipment will be established through expertise, and purchases will be conducted only if there is a real need.

Each battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine participating in combat operations will receive 7 million hryvnias for the procurement of necessary equipment and supplies, including drones and transport. The volume of funding may increase depending on the number of battalions.

Drymalovskyi also reported on the successful supply of FPV drones to the military on the front line using the DotChain Defense system. In just two weeks of the platform's operation, 43 orders were made for more than 7 thousand drones for a total of over 245 million hryvnias.

Earlier, it was announced that Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal spoke about the Ukrainian cruise missile 'Flamingo', noting its high power and range.

Also recently, SBU drones attacked the storage terminal of 'Shaheds' in Tatarstan for the second consecutive week, causing damage to the hub.

According to the information received, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is launching a program for the procurement of specialized equipment and drones for combat brigades through direct funding. The new procedure allows simplifying the process of acquiring equipment and increasing funding for combat units involved in military operations. An important step is the development of the Ukrainian missile 'Flamingo' with high range and power.
