Ukraine and Russia conducted a prisoner exchange as part of the agreements reached during the second round of negotiations in Istanbul on June 2. Wounded and seriously ill individuals returned home, some of whom are as young as 25. Military personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including those from the Air Assault Forces, Navy, Territorial Defense Forces, as well as the State Border Guard Service, National Guard of Ukraine, and the State Special Transport Service were among those who returned. Most of the released defenders today are officers.

Russia returned another 1200 bodies of fallen soldiers to Ukraine
As a result of the repatriation efforts, the bodies of 1200 fallen servicemen were returned to Ukraine. The repatriation took place in accordance with the agreements in Istanbul. For the first time, the repatriation was carried out using specialized train cars from Ukrainian Railways. Thanks to this, the bodies of the fallen defenders of Ukraine will be delivered rapidly to institutions in various regions, where their further identification will take place.
US President Donald Trump and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation
US President Donald Trump shared details of a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the White House chief, Putin called Trump to “very nicely congratulate him on his birthday.” He also added that the parties discussed Iran, as the Kremlin leader “knows this country very well.” The US President also stated that Putin, during their conversation, claimed that the conflict between Israel and Iran should end. In response, Trump said that his war in Ukraine should also come to an end.
Russians struck Zaporizhzhia
On Saturday night, Zaporizhzhia was attacked by 14 Russian assault 'shakheds,' resulting in two police officers being injured. They sustained shrapnel injuries to their limbs during the drone strike. Their condition is assessed by medics as moderate. Due to the Russian shelling, a humanitarian enterprise caught fire. Cars, a store, and a public transport stop were damaged. The blast wave shattered windows in high-rise buildings.
The return of military personnel, prisoner exchanges, the return of fallen bodies, and phone conversations between world leaders show active work at the international level to resolve conflicts and restore peaceful life.
