Zelensky warned about new Russian strikes on the energy system: what is known.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that Russian invaders are planning attacks on the Ukrainian energy system. According to Zelensky, such strikes may be less noticeable to the world, as attention is focused on events in the Middle East. The President also noted that intelligence data on this has been provided by partners.
On June 15, Ukrainian forces attacked drone production facilities in Yelabuga, a Russian republic of Tatarstan. There, the Russians create, test, and produce strike drones that are used for attacks on Ukraine, including energy and civilian facilities.
Agents of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out sabotage by setting fire to a power plant in the Russian city of Kaliningrad. This led to a disruption of electricity supply in the operational area and caused significant damage to Russian military and industrial facilities.
The Ukrainian president announced Russia's intentions to attack the country's energy system, as well as the actions of the Ukrainian army aimed at preventing these threats through strikes on Russian drone production and the power plant in Kaliningrad.
