According to ТСН: Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado noted that January 3 will "go down in history as the day when justice triumphed over tyranny."

In an interview with Fox News, she emphasized that she dedicated the Nobel Peace Prize to Donald Trump, saying, "I believe he deserves it." Machado is confident that her views have remained consistent since before Nicolas Maduro came to power, and everything that has happened since has only reinforced this belief.

"This is not only a huge step for the Venezuelan people and our future, I believe it is also important for humanity, freedom, and human dignity," she said.

Machado offered Trump the Nobel Peace Prize, which she received in October for her efforts supporting the democratic rights of Venezuelans. Trump has sought this award for many years.

"What he has done, as I already mentioned, is historic. This is a significant step towards a democratic transition, and I want to convey this to the American people. Since this is a prize for the Venezuelan people, we certainly want to present it to him and share it with him," the opposition leader added.

On January 3, Donald Trump announced the removal of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife from the country. He stated that the U.S. conducted a broad operation against Venezuela, calling it excellent.

Maduro is accused of playing a key role in an international cocaine trafficking scheme to the U.S. that could have been operating for over 25 years involving transnational criminal organizations, including the Sinaloa cartel and Venezuela's Tren de Aragua group, which is recognized as a terrorist organization in the U.S. Maduro faces life imprisonment.

Events surrounding Venezuela and the rapid development of the leadership situation are important not only for the country itself but also for the international community. The opposition's activity and the U.S. regarding Maduro illustrate new opportunities for change in the region, which could impact the political landscape in neighboring countries and beyond.
