Expert Forecasts on Russia's Post-Election Moves

According to UATV: Political analyst Artem Bronzhukov has stated that following Russia's State Duma elections, scheduled for September 20, the Kremlin is likely to announce a new wave of mobilization and escalate pressure on Ukraine. He emphasized that this could serve as a response to the election results, as Russia continues to carry out terrorist strikes against Ukrainian civilian infrastructure.

Bronzhukov pointed out that Moscow is preparing for a large-scale mobilization effort, expected to take place after the voting period.

“Putin is preparing his response. It will primarily take the form of a massive mobilization campaign that the Kremlin is already actively organizing for the post-election phase,” the expert noted.
He also highlighted that the conflict is entering a new cycle of escalation, where, in his view, Russia could face defeat:
“It is now clear that the war is moving into another round of escalation, and in that round, Russia will suffer a defeat.”

Security Guarantees for Ukraine

Furthermore, Bronzhukov argued that Ukraine’s primary security guarantee will not come from external support but from the country’s own success.

“The main guarantee of security will not be promises from Trump, Europeans, or anyone else. Everything will hinge on Ukraine’s success as a state,” the political analyst concluded.
These statements reflect expert concerns about the evolving regional situation and potential Russian actions after the elections. The backdrop of ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine adds urgency to these predictions.

Given the steadily rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine, forecasts from analysts like Bronzhukov underscore the importance of Ukraine’s internal stability and effectiveness for its own security. In light of possible new escalations, Ukraine must focus on strengthening its defensive capabilities and sustaining its civil society. This could also prompt reactions from the international community, which is closely monitoring developments and remains prepared to respond to shifts in the region.
