The appearance of MP Dovhyi at the volunteers' event provoked a wave of outrage online.
Independent MP Oles Dovhyi appeared at a charity event organized by the Medical Service 'Ulf' for the 108th battalion of Wolves Da Vinci. Dovhyi announced this on his Facebook page.
However, the appearance of the MP at the event sparked negative reactions online. Users reminded that Dovhyi has a dubious reputation, and therefore friendship with him can be harmful.
'A person in Kyiv does not need an introduction. In Klitschko's entourage, there is Bondarenko, and in Chernovetsky's, there is Lesyk Dovhyi. It's hard to even count how much land this rascal stole for developers while being the secretary of the Kyiv City Council... He also continues to destroy Kyiv as a developer... So let's record interviews and write posts about corruption in Kyiv and bad developers, but at the same time hug with Lesyk Dovhyi, that's just ridiculous,' wrote Oleg Symoroz.
'This is some kind of wild darkness. For everything he has done to Kyiv under Chernovetsky, he should not be allowed at the doorstep, let alone being promoted as an assistant,' journalist Tetiana Nikolayenko believes.
'Not everyone’s help should be accepted, and not everyone should be photographed with. There should be an internal filter,' users support in the comments.
Earlier, Oles Dovhyi bought an apartment with an area of 401.7 sq. m for the price of UAH 44.6 million.
In the 2023 declaration, Dovhyi reported 19 real estate objects, the most valuable of which was a Kyiv apartment with an area of 413.10 sq. m worth UAH 21 million.
According to available data, Oles Dovhyi earned his first million dollars at the age of 21. He has been in politics since he was 26 and has been a member of the Verkhovna Rada since 2014.
In 2017, there was an initiative to strip Oles Dovhyi of his immunity due to suspicion of illegal alienation of municipal property, but the criminal case was closed due to lack of evidence of guilt.
Oles Dovhyi's father, Stanislav Oleksiyovych, has significant experience in politics and management.
Relatives of Volodymyr Prokopyv, Klitschko's deputy, have also acquired much commercial and residential property in Kyiv, but the sources of financing and the origins of these assets raise questions.
