Beating of a soldier in Smila: the court sent the suspect into custody.
Today, September 11, the court decided to keep the suspect in custody in the case of the beating of a soldier in the city of Smila, Cherkasy region. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Earlier, Volodymyr Dolotenko, who is suspected of beating a soldier in Smila, recorded a video in which he apologized. This video was published on social media.
The conflict occurred on September 3 in Smila. The soldier said that his parents got into a car accident due to a criminal boss. After that, Dolotenko beat the soldier and forced him to admit guilt and apologize publicly.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police of Ukraine reacted to the incident. Dolotenko was charged with extortion and hooliganism.
On September 11, the police detained the suspect. Criminal proceedings have been initiated against him under four articles.
