Podolyak named three criteria for assessing the meeting between Trump and Putin: what awaits Ukraine.

Advisor to the Head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podolyak explained how Ukraine will assess the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Three main criteria have been noted. First of all, it is important to immediately and unconditionally ceasefire, agree on the principles of further peace process without the right of veto from Russia, and create a real tripartite negotiation format along with Ukraine and Europe. Additionally, Ukraine expects a clear signal to the countries receiving Russian resources about the negative consequences of supporting the war, such as isolation and loss of markets due to sanctions. President Trump must show that he wants to step out of the role of 'extra' in the Russian scenario and become a peacemaker for Alaska, rather than allowing any conditions for trading territories or special statuses for occupied regions. The main goal is to end the war and do it quickly to avoid harsh pressure measures. This is crucial for the successful outcome of the negotiations. Additionally, it is worth noting that previously Donald Trump himself expressed his expectations from the meeting with Putin, as well as President Zelensky responded to the Russian strikes on Ukraine on the day of negotiations in Anchorage.
