Captured Chinese Talked About How They Were Scared by Russians.
Captured citizens of China Wan Guanzhong and Zhang Renbo shared in a comment for 'Glavkom' whether they are ready to return home.
The Chinese captives spoke about their preparation for war and instructions in case of captivity. They discussed the instructions received by Russian soldiers from North Korea, who participated in the war on Russia's side against Ukraine. Russian soldiers were ordered to blow themselves up with grenades to avoid falling into the hands of Ukrainian troops.
'There were no such instructions. We were told that if we get captured, we will definitely be killed. This is what scared us,' said the captured citizens of China.
In addition, the prisoners of war shared their views on the possible return to China. Wan Guanzhong and Zhang Renbo noted that they expect punishment for participating in the Russian-Ukrainian war, but what form of punishment it will take is unknown.
'Yes, there is punishment for participating in the war, regardless of the side, but we do not know what it is. We are prepared for this punishment. We want to return to our loved ones,' said the captured Chinese.
It is worth reminding that Ukrainian soldiers captured two citizens of China who fought on the side of the Russian army. After interrogation, the first details regarding the foreigners became known.
The Security Service of Ukraine conducted initial interrogations of the citizens of the People's Republic of China, who were captured by the defense forces in Donetsk region. Both prisoners of war told investigators how they ended up in the war against Ukraine and what functions they performed in the Russian army.
A captured Chinese citizen who fought on Russia's side agreed that his treatment in Ukrainian captivity is better than in the Russian army.
