According to Novyny.live: Poland is currently evaluating a proposal to add six new public holidays to its calendar. President Karol Nawrocki is expected to receive a formal recommendation for additional days off ahead of Easter. As it stands, Poland observes 14 official public holidays each year. These include:

• January 6 (Feast of the Three Kings / Epiphany)
• Easter Sunday
• Easter Monday
• May 1 (Labor Day)
• May 3 (Constitution Day)
• Pentecost (Green Week)
• Corpus Christi
• August 15 (Assumption of the Virgin Mary and Polish Armed Forces Day)
• November 1 (All Saints' Day)
• November 11 (Independence Day)
• December 24 (Christmas Eve)
• December 25 (Christmas Day)
• December 26 (Second Day of Christmas)

Earlier, there was already support for making Christmas Eve (December 24) a public holiday. The newly submitted petition proposes the addition of six more days off. These are:

• Maundy Thursday
• Good Friday
• May 2
• Friday after Corpus Christi
• November 2 (All Souls' Day)
• December 31 (New Year's Eve)

Any legislative changes to introduce these new holidays must be approved by the Polish Sejm (the lower house of parliament). However, no final decision has been made yet regarding the new days off.
