Polish farmers have begun blocking the 'Medika - Shehyni' crossing point. This was reported by RMF24.

It is noted that trucks from Poland to Ukraine can only pass through the crossing point once an hour. Passenger cars, buses, humanitarian aid transport, and military columns can exit and enter without problems.

30 people are participating in the protest action. Polish farmers are protesting against the failure to meet demands regarding the preservation of the agricultural tax level in 2024 at the level of 2023. The second reason for the protest is concerns related to the European Union signing a free trade agreement with the MERCOSUR countries of South America.

Later, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine confirmed this information. According to preliminary data, the action will last for 48 hours with a possible extension.

Currently, there is no accumulation of trucks before the border crossing to exit Ukraine. About 150 trucks are at the entrance to Ukraine, it was reported.

Recall that on October 8, Polish farmers announced a protest action in the form of blocking the movement of heavy vehicles at the 'Medika - Shehyni' crossing point from October 8 to December 31, 2024.

Earlier, the border crossing points were temporarily closed at the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.

There was also a queue of hundreds of cars at the border with Slovakia due to issues with the software.
