An explosion occurred in Poltava, as a result of which 21 people sought medical assistance, reported the secretary of the Poltava City Council, Kateryna Yamshykova.
«Two city emergency headquarters have been set up, all specialized services are involved, hundreds of workers and dozens of units of equipment are engaged. Currently, the documentation of the consequences is underway: damaged houses are being examined; specialists are communicating with residents; psychological assistance is being provided to the victims», – it is stated in the report.
It was noted that as a result, more than 20 buildings were damaged, over 100 windows, nine residential buildings, seven private households, one educational institution, premises of enterprises, and dozens of cars.
Public transport movement was temporarily adjusted to ensure safety and the prompt operation of services.
