Actor Denis Arndt has passed away at the age of 86
American actor Denis Arndt, known for his roles in TV series Law & Order, Northern Exposure and The Practice, passed away in the USA at the age of 86. This was reported on Saturday, March 29, by The Hollywood Reporter, citing the actor's family.
It was noted that Arndt died on March 19 in his home in Ashland, Oregon. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Arndt began his career in theater, becoming one of the founders of Intiman Theatre in Seattle. Later he worked at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and performed in leading regional theaters across the USA. In 2015, at the age of 77, he made his Broadway debut in the production of Heisenberg, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award.
Arndt appeared in popular TV series of the 1980s and 1990s, including Ally McBeal, Chicago Hope, and Boston Legal. He also starred in the series Supernatural and Grey's Anatomy. In film, the actor is remembered for roles in Basic Instinct, Metro, and Bandidas.
According to reports, before his acting career, Arndt served in the U.S. Army and piloted helicopters in Vietnam. The actor is survived by seven children.
