Ukraine continues its war with Russia, and this marks the 1246th day. Over the past day, an incredible 167 combat clashes occurred, reports the press service of the General Staff on their Facebook page.

Situation at the front

In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions 11 attacks were recorded, Russia carried out 15 air strikes and conducted 293 shellings. In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy army attempted to breach Ukrainian defensive lines. Four attacks from Russian troops were recorded in the Kupiansk direction. In the Lyman direction, the enemy side conducted 21 assaults, while in the Siversk direction — four attempts at breakthrough. One combat clash occurred in the Kramatorsk direction, and 13 attacks were recorded in the Toretsk direction. In the Pokrovsk direction, defenders repelled 74 attacks, and in the Novopavlivsk direction — nine. In the Dnipro direction, the aggressors tried to attack Ukrainian positions seven times.

Recently, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, appointed a new commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — Hennadiy Shapovalov. The new commander has already expressed his opinion and identified the most important tasks in his new position.

The war in eastern Ukraine continues, and the security forces of the country continue to defend their territory from Russian aggression. The new commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has great responsibility towards the people and the state, and has already begun work on addressing important tasks in the context of military conflict.
