More than 200 carriers have been disconnected from the 'Shlyakh' system due to violations.
The State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety (Ukrtransbezpekа) disconnected 223 carriers from the 'Shlyakh' system due to violations of state border crossing rules. This was done based on materials from the State Border Guard Service. This was reported by the DPSU press service.
Since the beginning of 2024, the operational units of the State Border Guard Service have sent over 2,000 reports of illegal human trafficking across the border and document forgery to law enforcement agencies. Almost 1,500 criminal proceedings have been initiated, and over 1,700 people have been notified of suspicion. Courts have issued over 220 guilty verdicts, of which about 100 are related to illegal crossing of the border.
The Lviv Regional Military Administration provided a list of public organizations and charitable foundations whose drivers violated the terms of stay abroad. It's about almost 1,800 men of draft age who used the 'Shlyakh' system. However, the published data obtained from the State Border Guard Service (DPSU) is likely incomplete.
Some evaders used thermal blankets to avoid being detected at the border crossing. For the opportunity to 'travel' in this way, they paid from 3,000 to 8,000 dollars.
Also, a resident of the Zakarpattia region received a fake death certificate of his wife to go abroad. During the interrogation, the man confessed that his wife is alive, and the fake document was given by the minibus driver before leaving for the checkpoint.
