Crimes Linked to Russia’s Aggression in Ukraine
According to UATV: Ukraine recorded more than 72,000 offenses tied to Russian aggression over the past year, with nearly 69,000 classified as war crimes. These figures were released by Ukraine’s Prosecutor General, Ruslan Kravchenko. For context, this marks a significant escalation in legal proceedings since the full-scale invasion began in 2022.
According to the data, 349 individuals have been formally notified of suspicion for committing crimes, and 258 cases have already been sent to court. Additionally, over 1,500 criminal proceedings have been opened for offenses against children. These numbers highlight the severity of the situation and the vast scale of crimes resulting from the conflict.
