The Ambassador of Israel handed over a water purification system to the hospital in Uman: details of the initiative.
Assistance to the hospital in Uman
According to inkorr.com: The Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, personally handed over a water purification system to the hospital in Uman on the eve of the religious holiday Rosh Hashanah, which is celebrated annually by Hasidim from around the world. The diplomat emphasized that this assistance is just the beginning, and additional water purification units will be provided soon.
Hasidic pilgrims in Uman
Hasidim have already arrived in Uman to honor the memory of their spiritual leader. Last year, over 30,000 pilgrims visited the city, but this year some of them were unable to get there due to political circumstances and travel restrictions.
Despite the difficulties in travel, Uman remains an important place for the Hasidic community. The assistance to the hospital reflects the continuation of cooperation between Ukraine and Israel, as well as support for local initiatives, which is particularly important in challenging times. Further improving conditions for pilgrims is likely to become a priority for local authorities and the public.
