Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin, expressed his opinion on discussing possible compromises with Russia regarding Ukrainian territories. On MSNBC, he urged people talking about such compromises to put themselves in the place of the Ukrainian people.

"Sometimes it's easier to advise others, Ukrainian people. They should ask those who have survived and endured sacrifices during the war what they think about compromises," Kostin emphasized.

The Prosecutor General emphasized the importance of ensuring justice to achieve lasting peace. According to him, without justice, peace will not be stable. Kostin also noted that international judicial bodies, particularly the International Criminal Court and the initiative to establish a special tribunal for Russia's crimes in Ukraine, are helping Ukraine.

During his working trip to Washington, Kostin met with the honorary Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi. The Prosecutor General thanked her for her support, determination, and leadership in defending justice and democracy.

In the meeting, which was also attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, Oksana Markarova, issues of ensuring comprehensive accountability for Russia's war crimes in Ukraine were discussed. Kostin reported that over 139 thousand such crimes have been documented since the beginning of the Russian aggression.

It is important to investigate and punish those responsible.

The Prosecutor General stressed the need to register all crimes, initiate criminal prosecutions, and seek justice in each individual case, regardless of how long it may take.
