American Manufacturers: Tesla Showcased Its Robots at Capitol Event
Tesla appeared on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, where the company was recognized among several key American manufacturers at a bipartisan event dedicated to robots made in the USA.
There were two Tesla humanoid robots at the event, around which a crowd gathered, watching the machines strike various poses.
They sometimes waved their hands and raised one finger on each hand, resembling Richard Nixon's pose. At one point, a robot's arm suddenly shot out and hit a bystander, prompting security to quickly intervene.
However, outside Washington, Tesla dealers have become the target of progressive activists nationwide. The automaker and tech company were highlighted due to acts of vandalism related to Elon Musk and his efforts in the government's Office of Governmental Regulation (DOGE) during Trump's presidency.

House Select Committee Chairman on China Issues, John Moolenaar, a Republican from Michigan, suggests that Tesla's appearance at the bipartisan event signifies Congress rising above partisanship.
'The competition is coming from China, and we must win this competition,' said Moolenaar to Fox News Digital during the event.
He called Tesla 'innovative,' adding, 'All companies here showcased great ingenuity, and we were pleased to recognize all their efforts.'
The event also featured other robots from previous events, including the so-called 'robot dogs,' officially known as 'Spot the Agile Mobile Robot' from Boston Dynamics, as well as a similar machine from Ghost Robotics.
Moolenaar noted that Spot particularly appealed to him, as did the two humanoid robots from Tesla present at the event.
'It's incredible technology, and I was amazed that much of the same technology used in the vehicle is also used in these humanoid robots,' he stated.
Representative Carlos Gimenez from Florida, also a committee member, believes Tesla robots could have 'incredible applications.'
'Perhaps in agriculture – many of our farmers are disappearing as they cannot compete with labor, right? You get a few robots that can perform very detailed work on the farm and reduce labor costs, we will save American farmers,' said Gimenez.

He also accused Democrats outside of the event of being upset over Musk and criticized vandalism directed at Tesla dealers.
'Some people have taken things too far,' Gimenez said.
'There is no need to vandalize something that promotes American technology and will be beneficial to America.'
Recently, the Trump administration has taken steps to counter vandalism, with President Donald Trump himself threatening jail Time for protesters. The FBI has also created a task force to investigate these incidents.
