The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a law that allows military personnel to obtain higher education without interrupting their service. They can now continue their studies while keeping their place and scholarship, even during active duty. This applies to both contract soldiers and those mobilized.

Education Without Interruption for Service - What the New Law Provides

The Verkhovna Rada has approved a bill that guarantees military personnel the right to receive higher education even during service under a contract or mobilization.

Military personnel will now have the opportunity to study without stopping their service. The law ensures the preservation of their place of study, scholarship, and the right to educational leave

This innovation will allow young citizens not only to defend the country but also to obtain an education that will be useful after the end of military service.

The Ministry of Education and Science also reminds that the last day to submit applications for admission to universities is August 1.

After completing their service, military personnel receive financial compensation and state payments depending on the conditions of their service. Residents of Kyiv believe that payments to military personnel do not correspond to the risks they assume, thus demanding fair material support.

The initiative to ensure the possibility of obtaining education for military personnel without interrupting their service is an important step towards combining national defense and education, contributing to societal development and increasing the prestige of military service in Ukraine.
