Donald Tusk warned about a wave of pro-Russian sentiments in Poland: NATO's reaction.
According to inkorr.com: Anti-Ukrainian rhetoric is increasing in Poland, as reported by 'Hvylya'. Prime Minister Donald Tusk noted that pro-Russian sentiments and negative attitudes towards Ukraine are intensifying in society.
'A wave of pro-Russian sentiments and outrage about militant Ukraine is rising, created by the Kremlin based on real fears and emotions. The role of politicians is to stop this wave, not to ride on it. This is a test of patriotism and maturity for the entire Polish political class.'
Tusk urged politicians to avoid spreading pro-Russian sentiments, which he believes arise from fears and emotions instigated by the Kremlin.
Response to Russia's actions
Last week, it became known that Russian drones illegally entered Polish territory and caused damage. On September 12, joint military exercises between Russia and Belarus titled 'West' began.
According to recent data, downed Russian drones were found in 17 populated areas in five voivodeships of Poland, with most discoveries recorded in the Lublin Voivodeship.
In response to these events, NATO decided to launch operation 'Eastern Sentinel' to strengthen security along the alliance's eastern borders.
The escalation of pro-Russian sentiments in Poland triggered a reaction from Prime Minister Tusk, who emphasized the need to combat these sentiments. Operation 'Eastern Sentinel' is a response to provocations from Russia aimed at enhancing security in the east.
