China Has Assured Finland That Russia Will Not Use Nuclear Weapons, Says Finnish President.

According to UATV: Finnish President Alexander Stubb has stated that, according to China’s assessment, Russia will not deploy nuclear weapons. However, he emphasized that the risk of conflict escalation remains, a topic he discussed with China’s foreign minister during an interview with CNBC.
Stubb quoted Chinese officials as saying ‘very categorically: ‘No, that will not happen’.’ Yet, he added, ‘there is a danger of escalation, and we must take it seriously.’ Finland’s Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen is also actively engaging in security discussions concerning modern threats.
