The President commented on the ceasefire announced by Putin.
Zelensky believes the ceasefire announced by Putin is a manipulation
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the ceasefire faked by Vladimir Putin is again one manipulation. He explained this in his evening address. Zelensky reported that Ukraine agreed to the U.S. proposal for a ceasefire back on March 11, but Russia rejects it and is trying to deceive the United States.
The President expressed his concern that the ceasefire is set to end only on May 8, Victory Day. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine values human lives over parades and offers an immediate and complete ceasefire for at least 30 days. He also noted that international pressure, particularly from the U.S., could force Russia to ceasefire.
The President also mentioned the economic partnership agreement, which has become significantly stronger and more beneficial for Ukraine and the U.S.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from April 19 to 20, the Russian army carried out many shellings and attacks. There were 86 combat clashes on the front lines, with the enemy using drones and shelling civilian areas and positions of Ukrainian troops.
The Russian Ministry of Defense accused Ukraine of violating the ceasefire more than a thousand times.
