The U.S. President signed an order to postpone the ban on TikTok.

U.S. President Donald Trump has postponed the ban on TikTok for 75 days. He signed an executive order that gives his administration time to determine the next steps regarding this app. The order also requires Apple and Google to send statements of non-violation of the law during this period. Trump stated that this gives him the right to sell or shut down TikTok.

The ban on TikTok was enacted by Congress and signed by President Joe Biden, but its implementation was delayed following a Supreme Court decision. The law prohibits American companies from supporting the social media platform owned by China unless it is sold to an American buyer. President Biden has already signed an order requiring ByteDance to sell TikTok to an American owner. However, Trump opposed the ban on TikTok and advocated for its continuation.

Although TikTok was previously banned in the U.S., it later resumed operations. Now, users are gradually transitioning to an alternative app called RedNote.
