The court proceedings against the former head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional medical and social expert commission have concluded in Dnipro. As a result of the investigation conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation in cooperation with the National Anti-Corruption Agency, the official was found guilty of providing false information in her declaration.
The State Bureau of Investigation reports this.
Case Details
The investigation established that in her 2023 declaration, she did not declare a number of real estate properties, a car, as well as the income of her husband. In addition, the amount of financial assets declared by her did not match the reality. The total concealed assets and funds exceeded 3.2 million hryvnias.
The Dnipro City District Court found the former official guilty under part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional submission of knowingly false data in the declaration of a person authorized to perform state functions.
The court ruled to deprive the woman of the right to hold managerial positions in medical communal enterprises for one year and imposed a fine on her.
It should be noted that in Kyiv, law enforcement uncovered a corruption scheme related to the finances of a communal enterprise. In the machinations, the head of a contracting organization involved in supplying electricity for the KP 'Kyivpastrans' was implicated.
Earlier, it became known that in Odesa region, an official of a military town demanded a bribe from a defender for improving living conditions. The military did not tolerate corruption and reported the extortion. The head was detained, and she now faces imprisonment.
Summary
The court proceedings regarding the charges against the former head of the medical expert commission for declaring false data have concluded in Dnipro. The court imposed restrictions on her for occupying managerial positions in the medical field and a fine. Such court decisions demonstrate zero tolerance for corruption among officials, as well as the activity of law enforcement in combating this phenomenon.
