At the TEFAF art fair in Maastricht, a portrait of Prince William Ni Ni Nortea Dovouni, painted by Gustav Klimt in 1897, was found. This painting, which disappeared more than a century ago, has resurfaced and is now valued at €15 million.The portrait was transferred to the Viennese gallery Wienerroither & Kohlbacher by two collectors. Experts cleaned the canvas of dirt, and renowned art historian Alfred Weidinger confirmed its authenticity. This work is executed in the style of early modernism and decorated with floral motifs symbolizing Klimt's transition to a decorative style.It is worth noting that Gustav Klimt is a renowned Austrian painter who initiated the Vienna Secession. His work 'The Kiss' is one of the most famous masterpieces of world art. Also, a painting by Pieter Bruegel the Younger, 'Woman with Charcoal', stolen 50 years ago, was previously discovered in the Netherlands.In the art world, interesting discoveries always happen, and the revelation of lost masterpieces becomes an event that attracts the attention of art lovers and experts.
